'90 740 Cruise Control and OD Not Working 700

The OD "arrow" is illuminated on the dash but when you push the shifter button nothing happens. It will not go into OD. However the other day as I left my house and the light was out, then all of a sudden it lights up again. What gives? My 240 had the same thing happen but it just stopped completely and never worked again. As I understand it's either a bad OD solenoid, relay or a wire loose in the shifter, right? Any other options? Also where excatly is the OD relay so I can check it?

The cruise is just not working at all. Is there any "fixes" beside a new cruise control stem unit? This also happen with my 240!

Thanks all!

Tim H.
