What car to replace s90/960 with? S90-V90 1997

I had a friend who had a Lincoln LS and he had more problems with it than I would ever care to imagine. I have a ford f150 crew cab and while it has been pretty good overall, I am not enamoured of newer fords in general. Call it personal bias, but I am trying to stick to something Japanese or European. I don't really get excited over what the big 3 are offering now.

On top of that, Mamma wants something about a year or two old and with about 15k miles or less on it. (Actually she wants new, but I want to get past the first years depreciation) Makes it a bit harder to find something everybody can agree on.
