Need some information on the 'fool' lines. 200

Having just pulled the in-tank pump, I decided to renew my fuel lines. I think I remember someone saying that Volvo uses a proprietary fuel line of the 1/2" dimension. Noting that the old fuel line was spewing fuel all about the tank as I drove, I assured myself that this was indeed a wise upgrade. I took myself to NAPA and ordered 5 feet of 1/2 fuel line (and hose clamps). Oh, yeah, I have 6 240's now...another on on the way next week (a near flawless Periwinkle blue manual 244 which runs flawlessly according to the current owner who's going to sell her to me for $300). However, the hose specifically said not for fuel injection systems. Hmmmmmmmm...the counter person told me that approx 50psi is developed between the in-tank pump and the main pump. Geesh, it that true? When I tested the in-tank pump, it pumped like an aquarium pump, nice and steady, but not what seemed to be 50psi! The question then, is

A) What are the actual sizes of the two fuel lines that run from the gas sender unit.

B) Do I need to use a hose specific for fuel injection or can I just use quality Gates fuel line from tank to pump? Where do I get such a thing if not NAPA?

Any other advice or encouragements will be gratefully accepted and appreciated.

Sincerely,

JBeechcraft
