I've checked FAQ- still can't figure out a/c drop off when accelerating. Ideas? 900 1996

I've checked all of the vacuum hoses and fittings. All seem to be in good shape. The recirc flap on the cabin interior is operating fine and clear of debris. I am getting a significant drop in a/c air flow with any kind of acceleration or reving the engine and it's driving me nuts. Anybody have any ideas? Is this probably something expensive?
Thanks!
