TEMP RUNNING HOT AT IDLE...?? FAN CLUTCH ?? 200 1986

With 290K on the clock, and a well maintained cooling system, is the useful life of my fan clutch suspect? With the a/c on in Florida, I have to turn on my aux fan to keep the temp from creeping up in stop & go traffic of if it sits with everything on for more than a few minutes. Someone told me it was probably the fan clutch. It spins the fan blades quite easily by hand. I can get a low mileage one from the brickyard, or should I opt for a new one?

Thanks in advance for your opinions...which have all been valueable in the past.
