240 evaporator removal 200 1978

Can some one tell me how you remove the AC evaporator from the center console on an old 240. Does it just slide out the side of the box?

I have a low side hose that needs replacement and can't seem to loosen the connection at the evaporator. I tried 3 foot cheater bars on wrenches and can't budge it. Also heated it with a torch, soaked with PB blaster. Nothing helps. I am just rounding off the copper nut with all the force.

Thanks for the help.
