215/55 R16 on 245? 200 1993

I have a '93 240 wagon that has Bilsteins, IPD sways, and strut braces. The car is not lowered.

I am running an H rated tire on the stock 14" X wheels. These tires are not a great performance option, but they're not terrible either.

The time is coming to replace the tires and it seems that most tire manufacturers are dropping 14" tires from their H rated offerings. So there are virtually no choices, especially in a 205/70R14 size (currently running 195/70R14, but have a 4% speedo error).

In order to improve the tire options I am contemplating changing the wheels. The choices are either a 15" wheel (205/65R15) or a 16" wheel (215/55R16). It seems that if I make a change it would make sense to go to the 16"

I was wondering if anyone was running the 215/55R16 and could comment on the ride. In terms of fit, I believe that this size should be ok.

Thanks,
Ted
