A tale of two shops 700

I bought the 745t about 1 1/2 yrs back, and the front end had a clunk from the start. The previous owner had new struts put on at the local Firestone about 6 months prior.

Well, I finally started to get it corrected a few weeks back - done all the bushings in the front end - still clunks.

Well, today I had new KBY strut carts from FCP Groton put in, and I was concerned that since I had neglected to get new strut bearings - I might be hearing the same clunking when done.

No way. It was done right this time - no clunks. It was neat to watch a good mechanic work on it with the right tools. I look forward to my trip to GA tomorrow!

He charged me $60. I think that is a good price for a job well done - how about you?
