Intercooler question 700 1989

Hello,

Anyone have any good suggestions on how to loosen/remove the plastic drain nut on the bottom of the intercooler after some idiot has torqued the hell out of it? I changed my oil today for the first time since the used engine was installed and I couldn't loosen the plastic nut. The socket kept jumping off the nut and rounding the edges. What a stupid design. I realize the intercooler is plastic but sheesh! Why not use a metal nut? Anyway, I bet some moron at the shop torqued the hell out of the thing after they changed the oil after installing the engine.

Thanks,
Matt Campbell
