What is this relay for ?? 700 1992

In my 92 745t relay block - two rows of relays - what is the third from left on the front row? It is black and and rectangular - low (not tall like the fuel pump relay). In looking at the faq's - I note the relay is pictured, but not IDed.

I got the check engine light to go out (prior post) by unplugging/replugging everything in the fuse/relay location behind the ashtray. The reason I ask this is I was having trouble getting the relays to come loose - and tried to pry this one up with a screwdriver (I know - that be dumb)and got a spark. Just want to make sure that I still have function in this area.
