idle searching (getting better)84 240 200

The 240 is "home" from college and was running pretty rough.:-)
things done so far.
* New O2 sensor - the old one was toast! Saw some improvment.
* Cleaned idle air bypass valve. - more improvement
* cleaned throttle body.. adusted microswitch and stop screw. - LARGE improvement.
* Installed new in tank pump and filter...
So it still has a search but not as bad.. where is the best idle? 1000?
Would a low idle contribute to this searching thing?
Tips on the fuel pressure regulator... as in checking.. would be great.
Any other suggestions?
