Hesitation on accelleration with my 84 turbo.. 700

Hi Folks

I am knew to turbo ownership, I have a small hesitation on accelleration between 2 and 3000 rpm.

I have replaced plugs and distributor cap/rotor and fuel filter...any ideas???

The last owner replaced the air/meter thing with a remanufactured one. I don't know if that is relevant.

I did find a silver colored valve type thing behind the distributor - it seemed to look like a 'fuel pressure regulator' but bigger and it only had one hose connected to it. The opposite end was unconnected, I don't know if it should have had a hose on.

Any help or comments welcome
Matt
