AC Intermittent Problem S90-V90

I have a new problem with my V90 that I'm not quite sure what's causing it. My AC has on occassion cut off the cool air for no apparent reason, fan runs fast, can't tell if the compressor is trying or not because the fans running so fast. Then later when I cut it off let it set for awhile and turn it on, is back to normal. This happens at different speeds the only thing I can see as a pattern is that it seems to happen at outside temperatures in the +90 deg f. which maybe coincidence. What's really strange is that when it returns it can stay working fine for days/weeks again. My thoughts have been more towards a wire shorting out.

Any Ideas?

Thanks for the help.
