220 restoration saga continues 120-130

Pulled the rear side windows and found years of leaking under the seal led to tons of rust. On one side the rust seperated the outer fender from the inner one as they were connected via the window channel. Plan is to sand off the loose stuff, cover in POR 15 and weld/industrial glue some sheet metal to make a new window channel.

Anyone have experience on this? Should we tack weld in a support piece between the panels to ensure a solid fit over time?

Thanks,

-Erik

the saga continues...
