Why does my alternator bushings doesn't last long? 700 1989

Hi again

My alternator is situated right in front of the oil filter. It has two rubber bushings which to date I've had to replace almost every year as the bushings will be deformed causing the belts to misaligned and the alternator to vibrate causing a nasty vibration. No belt noise though.

Is this typical of the life of these bushings? Anything else I can do or check to prolong their life? I'm due again to change these bushings soon.

Thanks to all
