142 Front spring rates 140-160 1973

I'm looking into stiffer front springs for my 142, anyone know what the stock front spring rate is? I've searched high and low through google and found one page where the owner swapped out to 500lb/in fronts with bilstein HD's.

I can deal with a stiff ride if the shocks can handle it, I don't mind being jerked around by stiff springs, just don't like loud clunking noises.

I was looking into afco racing coils, seem pretty cheap at only ~50 a pair and anywhere from 350-1400lb/in linear.

What do you guys think is a good performance/auto-x spring rate?
