Can you say excited? 200 1986

So this weekend was spent cleaning, sanding, and painting some beatup virgos. Now I am done and tomorrow morning they will be installed. YEAH BABY, YEAH! I don't have any center caps yet, but I might drop by the dealership to see how much the center caps for the V70 are.

As far as details are concerned. I took them by a tire place where one of the guys there was nice enough to check them out for me, to make sure they are strait. It turns out one of them have a small bump in them but he said I could probably get away with it if I put it on the rear. The rest were in good condition. Then I went shopping.

I used steelwool, 220 grit snadpaper, a dremel, a small pick, and my hose, to get rid of the grim and deformities. For some of the larger curb rash I used a little bondo. Then I put on I don't know how many coats of paint. I went through a few cans of primer and a 4 cans of silver. And they turned out beautifully. A little overspray here and there but I am very pleased with the result. We will see how they stand up to the test of time.
