242 turbo

Intercoolers appeared on 242's in 1983 with the limited edition "flatnose turbo" homologation cars. After that any 240T could get the retro add-on IC kit and many did. I think the 240Tic ('84-85) runs around 158 hp officially with the catalytic converter. The ECU has no role in boost. Lots of these turbos run well and very fast with 200,000 miles and more. When set up and performing right (again) the 170 hp (running the boost at 12-13 psi seems conservative considering the punch you feel at 3000 rpms. For another $1000 you can make them handle like sportscar. Drive safe.
