check engine light on after O2 sensor replacement '91-245 200

'91 245 sat for a few months. When started the "check engine" light came on.

Upon checking the on board diagnostics the code for O2 sensor was noted.

Changed O2 Sensor ran fine for 10 miles then the "check engine" litht came on again

Car runs fine.

One thing I noticed: When the key is put in the ACC position with all the "idiot" lights on the "service" light flickers after a few seconds.

Any ideas why after the O2 sensor was replaced (new) that this is repeating?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
