it happens on my 82 245 and on mine it is because the wires running through the hingrs are messed up and sometimes turned on the electric lock, so i have un clipped the lock mechanism in side the gate itself,until i get around to fixing the wires.p.s. do you have a 3rd seat if so please read my post above yours...Blessings...kris
