Rear axle differences 120-130

"maybe I've been doing soemthing frighfully wrong, but I don't remember any such thing." Yeah, that's what I thought aswell, but it's what Haynes says...



"Is that a pin that keeps the axle from coming out should the bearing go away or something?" By the looks of it, it's a ring that keeps the bearing from moving further onto the half shaft. But like I said, I also cannot remember such a thing, and I'm not curious enough to take apart my own rear axle to find out...
