89-240 wagon wiring question 200

this wagon was built 10th month of 1988,it has k for the 10 th letter which makes it an 89 they say?the question is was the wiring harnes on 88/89 still a problem?there are no interior dome lites front or back(this is a wagon)bulbs and fuses are good ,also wipers do not have a low speed.unrelated the trip meter works but will not reset.have an 86 sedan will this swap out.please advise.
