Bellhousing to M46 bolt is stripped.

Would it be OK to run without this bolt, its the top left bolt Ώ of 4 bolts holding the bellhousing to the trans].

I figure between the cross member, the other 3 bolts from the bellhousing to M46, and the BH to motor bolts, i should be ok.

I don't really see any serious issue with torsion, unless the motor rocks [twists] quite a bit, but my motor mounts are in great shape, so i figure any stresses on that section would be minimal.

I am going to run it to the machinist here tomorrow, see if he can run a thread chaser or retap it.

Any ideas? Would it be OK to run without the bolt there if worse comes to worse?

Again, this is the bellhousing to transmission bolt, not a bellhousing to engine bolt.

Dan
