electrical/stalling problem 200 1987

Well I've checked all the plugs and they are in very good shape as is all the wiring I can see. However most of my wiring is in black sheathing, and from what I've read it can be quite bad under that... Should I just cut off the sheathing? Or does some one have a good wiring diagram of the harness so I can pull off some plugs and do some continuity checks. Sounds like replacing this is a fair bit of work and the part isn't cheap so I want to be sure, before I start.

Thanks,
-n
