any tricks to removing individual window switches from driver's switch panel? 200 1986

I've got a bad power window switch on my driver's side window switch panel...

in trying to remove a good switch from the spare panel (that I got from the junk yard) I have broken the plastic housing that holds the switch in the panel.

is there a trick to getting those switches out of the panel or do I just break the one good panel and then glue or epoxy the switch so it will hold in it's place?

thanks,

jack
