re painting 200

i have some definite rust spots i want to get out before they become a huge problem down the line, and a few dents i wish were gone. so i was thinking about doing all the body work and then having it painted. my question is, how huge of a deal is it to have the entire body painted? particulary the engine compartment. my goal is an incredibly neat, clean, color coordinated engine, and i think it would be kind of sad if you open the hood on a silver (or black - undecided) car and saw a gold engine bay. is this completely out of the question? can it be done with out a major MAJOR headache? anyone done this? i wont be doing this within even 6 months, im just trying to sort it out now to plan stages of restoration before i get in too deep.

handsome greg
