Basic question about brakes 200

Just to add a trivial fine point, I use pressure too, so once I get a solid clear stream from the bleeder screw I tap the relevant caliper pot with a small ball pein, hoping to break up any bubbles clinging to the sides or stuck between the almost fully seated piston and the cup. Could be fooling myself, but it seems effective in hardening the pedal, and I do see a tiny stream of bubbles sporadically in the bleeder hose.

I've always wondered if more effective bleeding of the calipers could be done by temporarily substituting worn out pads during the procedure.
