240 CIS won't start 200 1982

Hi Folks,

I have a 240 in great shape. The starter got weak and would not engage at all. Worn out I suppose. So I bought a new one. It spins the engine easily. The problem I have now, is that it won't start/run at all. In the past when I turned the key I would hear the chattering sound etc. Now, nothing - just the starter spinning. I took the rubber bellows off of the fuel metering body and turned the key to ON, pulled one of the fuel injectors out of the manifold, and lifted the air valve. I expected to see fuel streaming out of the injector into a container I had rigged up. I did this because I could not smell any fuel after several attempts at starting the beast. But Nothing. Could some one direct me to what I should try in order to get the fuel injectors working. I would like to trace the electrical power to the pump but I do not know where the fuel pump relay is located or what color wires are connected to it. I have quite a bit of auto repair experience but I am new to Volvos. The car has CIS and the Constant Idle System with Lambda oxygen sensor feed back . The car is in good cindition with a lot of new stuff e.g. wires cap rotor timing belt etc. All seem to be set correctly but I am not getting any fuel to fire it up. Could any one help please? Thanks very much for any suggestions ALynn
