Vent window catch, removal 1800

What is the trick to removing the catch or handle from its shaft on the vent window? I have successfully driven out the roll pins from three different vent windows, but the handle will not budge from its shaft. I am trying to make one decent set of vent window assemblies from 4 sets of spares, but need to get a rust blistered handle removed and replaced with a good one.
TIA
J Dymond
