gaskets and glue 200 1990

the chrome strip on the front wheel well has started to peel off. does anyone know the best way to deal with this? is there a certain adhesive that is best?

also, i went thru a car wash last week and a few hours later my brake lights stopped working. i pulled up the metal tabs on the bulb housings and wiggled them around and they were working again. but then the indicators stopped working. did the same and all is fine. do you think that maybe the gaskets around the plastic lens cover are getting worn out and water leaks are what caused this?
does anyone know how to revitalize the gaskets so no water enters?
