Dead overdrive? 140-160 1972

They won't know what goes in there.

The book says 30W. Irv Gordon uses 80W/90. I use it, a bunch of people I know use it, and no one I know has had any problem with that in either D- or J-type ODs. The main advantage is that it stays in better than the 30W... suit yourself.

I believe Volvo eventually authorized dealers to use ATF in all the OD trannies, but it's definitely noisy in the M41 or 410. For M46 it's fine, but I recommend against it in the application in question here.
