Hi -

I have a couple 850's that have grown on me and know what to look for in used ones of those, but know very little of the 760s. My son has just gotten his license and rather then have him get experience on my car, I would like him to get his own. And being a Volvo house I'm looking at Volvos nearby.

In our area a nice looking 1988 760 wagon I know of is coming up for sale. The asking price is $500 and I'm told that currently the front brakes need work and there are no other problems.

What sort of things should I look for or ask about with this model? Is $500 fair? Any advice would be great!
