Intermittently sluggish '87 240

My wife's '87 240 sometimes won't accelerate to cruising speed. This has only happened a couple of times, but I need to fix it. It seems to happen after a stop sign or signal. The idle switch is adjust to click just as the throttle starts to open.
Some months ago it was doing something similar. I replaced cap and rotor, checked fuel pressure and finally changed the pressure regulator. I thought I had it fixed, but now it's doing it again. I've checked the fuel cap to be sure it vents. I've about run out of ideas. If it would consistently give the same problem I could probably find it, but this intermittent stuff is hell... Any suggestions?
