I think it's time to replace the blower motor. 700 1992

You can get a multimeter for $20 at Sears or Radio Shack. You need one to measure the resistance of the resistor pack, or to test the motor windings for that matter.
Of course if the motor is seized, that's not going to help- I'm about to put one in my wife's 88 740 because it's starting to chirp and screech. Bad bearings I think are the usual mode of failure.
