Hydraulic Engine Mounts 700 1987

Hmm I thought they were just for grounding. I guess they could function as a "last chance" strap to keep things in place in the event that the hydraulic unit fails and the mount allows a lot of movement.

I put new mounts in our 88 last fall, and it was a bit of a challenge- the driver's side especially, under the AC compressor was quite tight. You need an assortment of wrenches, sockets, and extensions to get all the bolts to cooperate.

Good luck and have fun. Honestly it was one of the best improvements I've made to the car- it's very quiet and vibration free now.
