91 744 AW70: Radiator fittings.

Yes, you need the cooling. When towing, you need an auxilary cooler.

Which brings me to the point that in the auxilary cooler kits I've bought, it comes with a dual-threaded M/F fitting, one of which fits the radiator just fine. It's a few inches long, flared on both ends of the tube, with the compression fitting able to side between the two. You can purchase these fittings separatly for a few dollars - just cut the tube, slip the fitting on the new tubing, and have that end flared.
