6x9 speakers

Do it! Putting 6x9s into the back is easy...remove the rear tray (cardboard and carpet) if you look underneath in the trunk you will notice there is a lot of room. mark the area you need to cut taking into account the plastic covers that are on the topside and cut with an airsaw or tin snips. After you have cut the opening you have 2 choices on how to mount the speakers. The first and the one I would recommend is to mount them hidden, mount them from underneath and cut the trimpanel to allow the speaker to "breath through". Pick up some acoustic carpet from your local car stereo shop and recover the trimpanel. The second choice is to cut the trimpanel to the 6x9 size then drop the speaker in from above using the speaker grill to finish off the job. Take your time and enjoy!
