alternator upgrade 200 1980

i have a 1980 242GT with what im assuming is just a 60amp alternator, im putting in an aftermarket stereo and i need an alt that is going to be able to cope with the added stress lol. My amp is going to run about 350RMS. I would like to get an alternator off a newer 240(i assume they put out more amperage) or a 740 series alt.. What should i look for, will any newer 240 alt fit on my car, what years of 7 series alts will fit on my car
