Cylinder head variance 900 1995

940 Non-turbo

The volvo dealer here told me that the cause of my jumpy idling is a over-skimmed cylinder head.

For your info, I've replaceed almost everything over the past one year. Hoses, RPM sensor, O2 sensor, AMM, IAC motor, ECT, including the distributor. Even had my cylinder head overhauled. Other obvious items like plugs, wires go without saying.

I've checked prices for a used head and came to know that the cylinder head used for a 2.3liter version is different from a 2.0liter.

Is this true? My car is a 2.3L and if i were to replace it with a 2.0L will it work well?

Thanks once more.
