took my '731800es(185k mi.) from long island,ny out to ohio and back (1500 mi).... 1800 1973

...got a little over 30mpg. burned about 1/qt oil per 500 mi (70mph/3200 avg. speed/rpm).
...
rained a lot westbound. i had recently replaced the door and door frame weather stripping, but still had some leaks, like on my left knee. seemed to drip more going up hill. don't think the door seals would do that. i'm thinking maybe the windshield seal, or the air vent. i guess i'll have somebody use a water hose the car while i check under the instrument panel as best i can.
...
any inputs/suggestions appreciated.
