Air conditioning ...r12 200 1989

Hi,

My air conditioner isn't working in my '89 240. It's hot. Please help.

My system is an R12, and I'm missing the Schrader valve. I was going to look for one, and I was told that the system is now outlawed and that I need to retrofit it to a system whose number I can't recall.

Questions: Are Schrader valves really impossible to get now? And if it is possible to get them , how much should i anticipate paying for one?


If R12 is indeed not legal, can I buy a retrofitting kit? If so, how expensive is this option?
