Should I or shouldn't I . . . 200

First of all, A/C is very easy to fix if you have had some experience. I put a used compressor out of a wrecking yard and made a line for my 240 so I didn't have to pay big $. I did use a professional machine and added the right amount of oil but now it blows like ice out of the vents. If I were you I would install all those parts myself and then take it in to a good A/C guy. You DO NOT need to go to the dealer. Find the parts on Ebay and use the right amount of Oil. Also, I used freeze 12 and it worked great and is very cheap.
