If you regularly drive in hot weather, I consider the air con to be as important as your brakes and steering. You have to be able to think clearly, and if you're driving a sauna mobile around that isn't going to happen.

You are never going to be able to drive as well when you seat belt buckle doubles as a branding iron, your butt is stuck to the seat, and the steering wheel is hot to the touch. This is particularly important when you've left the car parked in the sun.

Of course if you live in Canada, which is the point of this thread, you'll be fine.
