Phil,

Very nice looking setup. I must have gotten the idea from you, i've seen that picture somewhere before. that's pretty much what i had in mind, but the velocity stacks aren't in my current budget. The aluminum tubing i found has a 3 inch od and 1/8inch wall. It should work with the 3 inch filter. I thought it might be easier to fab if i welded the entire box to the 3/8 inch baseplate, which would prevent me from using velocity stacks in the future. it would attach with 4 bolts just like the original airfilters. I will install spacers to keep it from collapsing when the bolts are tightened.

At least that the idea i'm throwing around for now.
