On the lookout for an 1800 1800

Hi all,

I've got a '67 122s that I've been fixing up for the past couple years, and while I love it dearly, I keep catching myself pining after the sporty looks of the 1800. I'd really like to find one in decent enough shape to work with on my small, college-student budget, and my best chance for accomplishing this seems to be selling my 122 -- or better yet, arranging some sort of trade. I'd like some advice as to the respective pros and cons of the 122 and 1800 models from those of you with experience with both.

Additionally, just how likely am I to find an 1800 owner willing to trade me for my 122? Are 1800's more valuable than 122's? My 122 has pretty low miles on it (88,000), is almost entirely original, and the paint job looks great (aside from some rust in the usual 122 spots). Would it be crazy to hope to get an 1800 in similar condition in a trade?

Thanks for any help,
CN
