7x5/9x5 third seats dangerous at speed -- Steve Ringlee to FAQs, please 900 1993

Steve, I guess I have something stuck in my craw from the prolonged discussion about the safety of wagons' third seats that appeared on the board a few months ago.

Could you please consider placing this in the FAQs? :::

Rear-end accident "would have crushed the legs of anyone sitting in the back."
Conclusion: 3rd seat safe only in urban settings, not highways or freeways; especially true in a nation where half the sales of new personal vehicles are SUVs and pickup trucks, which have high bumper that over-ride the Volvo bumper crush zone. (Moronic.)

Thanks!
