'89 245...need a 'sigh' blower motor

Hi..

I am new to the forums...I have an '89 245 with 295k...really has a lot of miles left in it...strong motor...no rust or dents in body, etc.

Problem is I need a new blower motor and don't want to fork over 600 bucks for my (great) mechanics to do it. I am pretty handy and don't mind taking something apart as long as I can remember how to put it back together.

I have searched this site for a couple days and feel I've bairly scratched the surface, si I feel that if I can do some of these projects myself, I can keep my car running a while longer.

Question, though, is where is the best source to pick up a blower motor..I will replace the resistor as well as long as I am in there. Anything else I should do (besides repairing the foam on drivers seat) whiule I have the car in pieces?
