plastic connector at distributor

John thanks for the reply. I replaced spark plug wires as well since others were shot.

I got the car started but it ran real rough and had no power on acceleration and would stall after awhile if I took my foot off the gas as I was moving.

Does this sound like a Hall problem ? Could exposed wires we touching metal and causing problems? Or does this sound like wires in the wrong order? My distrib is the flat one that mounts on the back of the block with all four connectors facing up.

What is the firing order on that distrib. When facing the back of the car and cap is attached properly left to right 4,3,1,2 ? with cylinder 1 near the radiator and 4 at the fire wall..1,2,3,4?

Stumped and Pissed.
