starter not turing over...lightd and panel are on--740 turbo w/ 224,000 miles 700 1990

When you check the battery connection, don't just look at the connection between the battery and the cable, take a good look at the cable itself.

Recently I did this to our '90 744 TI - 230,000 miles.

I had to get rid of quite a bit of corrosion inside the cable itself. I stripped the insulation back on all the cables and wires connected to the battery terminals and cleaned out all the corrosion. Then I soldered and re-insulated all the cables and wires. Looks pretty good now.

BTW - I cleaned, repaired, and painted the battery box as well.
