MOTHERF***ER ! Pinion seal removal...somebody please. 700

'88 760 T. Got the pinion flange off, just left with the seal, have been hacking at it, tugging at it all day. This diff doesn't open up in the back, so I can't just pop it out from behind...

What in the hell ! Being an engineer is no excuse for being a dumba**, why don't they put tabs on these seals? Or at least SOMETHING that isn't flush to the surface, just in case somebody wanted to...replace it, maybe? Damn. I hope I'm the dumb one, and this is just really easy and I'm missing it, cause otherwise whatever the answer is, is probably a total mess.

HELP

Thanks
-Matt
